Grades 4th–6th
3 Activities • 6 Student Pages
Text Structure
Unit 6 focuses on Text Structure while also reinforcing relationships between ideas, reading comprehension, and short constructed response. The routine is simple enough to use whenever students finish early, during literacy centers, on sub days, or during classroom downtime—without creating another management system for the teacher.
- Replace random busywork with purposeful reading comprehension, vocabulary, text-evidence, and writing practice.
- Reinforce test-facing ELA skills without adding a separate test-prep lesson to the day.
- Keep early finishers productively engaged while the teacher continues instruction, supports other students, or manages small groups.
